(Gen 24:12 ESV)  And he said, “O LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham.
(Gen 24:21 AMP)  The man stood gazing at her in silence, waiting to know if the Lord had made his trip prosperous.
(Gen 24:26)  The man bowed his head and worshiped the LORD

(Gen 24:27)  and said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me in the way to the house of my master’s kinsmen.”
Steadfast: fast and steady; resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering.
Love: In a general sense to be pleased with; to regard with affection, on account of some qualities which excite pleasing sensations or desire of gratification.
(1Co 13:4)  Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

(1Co 13:5)  It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

(1Co 13:6)  It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

(1Co 13:7)  Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

(1Co 13:8)  Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
Steadfast love is love that keeps giving in a fast and steady way. Steadfast love is unwavering in its firm duty to serve others and not one’s self. God is love because he exhibits the steadfastness of His love to each of us continuously and endlessly.
We should understand that Steadfast Love:

1. Comes with faith and prayer.

2. Brings good success.

3. Is patient, waiting for the Lord to guide.

4. Fills life with blessings, praise, worship and honor.
