People spend so much time looking for love. We tend to search for life’s ultimate action word in other places, people and things. Many times, better yet, every time as we search in the flesh, love is not found.

The only way love is found is by adding and keeping God in the equation. God is love. Since He is love in the simplest and most complex, in the rarest and truest ways, real love does not exist without the Heavenly Father.

I remember several moments in life when I sought fake love. I call it fake love because it was my self interpretation of what I thought love was. Having relationships that were based on the emotions of imitation love did not fulfill my need for true love. What fake love caused me was anger, anxiety, frustrations, and fear among a list of worldly ways that pulled me away from God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I was born again, dedicating my life to God at a young age. Knowing The Lord, believing in Jesus, and having the Holy Spirit was something I cherished. As i grew older, I developed a sense of what I wanted to achieve. My goals and thoughts did not include any consideration of God. I purposely had a plan that did not include the people cared most about me, nor did my plan include anything with the Church in it. Somehow the enemy used my life experiences against me to become unaware that I was headed in the wrong direction. I unknowingly created a mission where God was not a part of my life’s equation. Fake love took me down a road of deception, fornication, emptiness, and complete wrongness.

When I turned my life back to God, I felt once again the truth of His love.

1 John 4:17-21
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.”
“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

1. Love is perfected only when I claim God’s love as my own.
2. God’s perfect love gives me boldness about my eternity in heaven.
3. Perfect Love casts out fear.
4. Love for God and other people go perfectly hand in hand.
