Isaiah 9:6-7
Prophecy was made in this scripture, where JESUS
• Is a Child born;
• Is a Son given;
• Is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The government shall be upon His shoulder. Of the increase of His government and of peace shall be no end.

Government = Misrah (Hebrew text), empire = dominion, power, authority

1. God’s Empire was built on Jesus’s shoulders.
2. The increase of God’s Authority is the Church.
3. The Church has the Power of peace where there shall be no end.

How does the Church (the Body of Christ, the congregation of believers) exhort and deliver the Power of Peace to all mankind?

The Great Commission
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

There is no Christmas without Christ.
