One Year Later: What Changed? #BlackLivesMatter #BridgeShutdown
On Monday, July 10, 2017, 7 p.m., join the members of the Memphis Association of Black Journalists for a discussion that revisits the 2016 Memphis Bridge Shutdown – an activist-led protest that fueled demands for economic, social, criminal, and political justice for members of the black community.

This discussion will include a handful of leaders who participated in the protest, as well as those who have helped organize demands for reform in the year since. Both Mayor Strickland and Police Director Rallings have also been invited to participate on the panel.

The discussion will be moderated by MABJ board member and Local 24 Producer Montee Lopez. Abyssinnian Missionary Baptist Church has graciously offered their facilities to accommodate the event.

We look forward to seeing you there.
